Story
The Newsense Web Series Season 1’s story is set in the 2000s and revolves around a group of stringers working at the Madanapalle press club. These stringers engage in unethical practices by accepting money from politicians. Their approach involves spreading false information or intentionally omitting essential facts from their reports.
The main character, Shiva (played by Navdeep), is one of these stringers. He believes in prioritizing his financial gain, even if it means causing harm to others. Shiva finds himself deeply infatuated with Neela (portrayed by Bindu Madhavi), a reporter from a local news channel.
While things seem to be going smoothly for Shiva, the situation takes a turn when Edwin (played by Nanda Gopal), the newly appointed Sub-Inspector (SI) of Madanapalle, becomes a source of trouble for the stringers. The events that unfold form the central plot of the first season.

Throughout the Newsense web series, viewers are treated to many carefully crafted scenes illuminating the media industry’s darker aspects. Navdeep’s portrayal in the show is nothing short of brilliant, and it is truly refreshing to witness an actor of his calibre undertaking such a commanding and influential role. Playing a character with flaws is a formidable challenge, but Navdeep rises to the occasion, delivering a performance that exudes subtlety and maturity in every scene.
Despite Bindu Madhavi having limited screen time, she makes a significant impact with her compelling portrayal of her character. Each moment she appears on screen, she leaves a lasting impression, contributing to the overall narrative with her finesse.
