Review

Venom is a villain & character in the Spider-Man universe with a darkness, a symbiote that readers loved. When Sony first revealed the standalone Venom film in 2018, people started doubting whether the character was viable without Spider-Man and his friendly neighborhood monsters.

However, the film proved everyone wrong by combining the genres of dark comedy of vengeance, horror and absurd anti-hero kids.

The success of the film made it possible to continue the deadly story, which was twice as exhausting – “Venom: let there be carnage” (2021), which deepened, sharpened, and developed all-dominating anti-hero Venom for even greater machinations within the modern lens of superhero worlds.

Now, it’s “Venom: The Last Dance,” which promises to wrap all the loose ends in the trilogy and end the tale of venom in style.

Direction

Kelly Marcel takes over as the film director and co – producer for “Venom: The Last Dance”, which is well-known as a skilled writer and producer. It has been evident that Marcel has contributed a lot to the success of the Venom franchise.

Fans of Venom can look forward to the third film with Marcel at the helm because it is evident that she holds the mantle of the creative vision. With respect to the third Venom film, it remains consistent with the previous ones which had been dark and intensely comical.

Marcel creates situations that are scary, refreshing, and plot heavy over storylines allowing venom to not be scary all through the film and even be funny.

Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock and Venom in one of the most acclaimed superhero movies, sin duda, one of the actor’s career highlights. This is what has teased the viewers for the whole trilogy, aided by the incessant back and forth between Eddie and Venom.

“Venom: The Last Dance” looks forward to this as it aimed not only to explore the already existing dynamics of their relationship, but would also welcome the challenges to twist it more.

How Venom Changed as a Character

Turning on her head is what is more interesting about the character of Venom, and more so in the course of the entire trilogy. For instance, in his maiden film, Eddie Brock is portrayed as a failing journalist whose active life changes completely after he bonds with Venom.

This article explains how Eddie and Venom go out into the normal world – not as individuals – but as interdependent entities. In “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”, their relationship is tested whereby both characters attempt to coexist as two individuals in one body.

This final chapter in Venom’s journey, reflects the title of the film, “Venom : The Last Dance”. However, this section reveals how bonded the characters of Eddie and Venom have become as well if they have any view of unifying their differences in order to face the impending danger presented in the film.

The symbiotic relationship most likely will be related biologically but rather emotionally adding depth to the story.

Tom Hardy’s Role in the Development of Venom’s Legacy

Whenever Hardy embraces the responsibilty of playing either the character of Eddie Brock or the character of Venom, the result is arguably one of the most recognizable modern superhero film portrayals to date.

From the beginning, Hardy has been dedicated to the character, this is visible not only in his extreme body makeover but also in the way he sells the internal conflict of a man who is inhabited by another living organism.

Hardy’s depiction has transformed Venom from a two-dimensional villain whom everyone hated to an antihero that encompasses both flaws and virtues – a little more specific than chaotic evil.

Plot

In Venom: The Last Dance, it is planned that Hardy will have to demonstrate his best performance as Eddie Brock since, as it is known, this movie revolves around the aspect of closure & completion which all character journeys must ultimately come to.

The depiction of Eddie and the ferocity in Venom that Hardy feels are key to the success of the franchise and so it is safe to believe that he will also bring something fresh and engaging to the audience in this last part.

Visuals

Always a prominent element of the Venom films, their flashy action scenes and advanced special effects have always been an appealing factor for the audiences.

From neck breaking car chases, to quick and violent brawls, the prospect of watching a venom character morph out of nowhere into a weapon and use it on one’s self is another wow moment.

“Venom: The Last Dance” promises to step it up I think by having over the top battles that will make the audience’s eyes pop out of their sockets.

Visual effects in the Venom franchise have helped to create the character of the symbiote very well, and there are plans to outdo that in the third installment.

The transformation of Venom into the more menacing self and the tentacles followed by the ever-changing combat techniques are a few of the features that make the film stand out.

In ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ the storyline will definitely be more edgy, and the visual effects definitely will complement the drama of the story.

Release Date

“Venom: The Last Dance” will come to cinema on 25 October 2024, which will complete this three-part masterpiece that won the love of audiences around the world.
